“At Rok Bistro, you’ll discover your place on the path of ancients. Time has recorded their historic deeds, the trails they traversed, and you will journey to be a part of their legend. You rest from the day to sup from their ceremonial cooking tools: volcanic rocks that were once heated by fire.
As in the day of ancients, preparing food on a special rock is naturally delicious and healthy. Steam arising from the rock is said to bestow therapeutic properties to the sizzling food, cleansing the body and spirit. Now, preparing food in the traditional way as those on a journey of self discovery, Rok Bistro is the ultimate in dining enlightenment. Not to mention it’s a whole lot of fun.
When it is time to continue on your journey we hope you’ll feel rejuvenated by your experience at Rok Bistro. Please return and “discover” yourself here time and again!“

“We wanted something truly unique and memorable to complement our newly-created menu. We heard about rock cooking and knew this would be the perfect addition. One call to Rok and we were off and running. They delivered right on cue and have been delivering outstanding service ever since. Rok brings a new way of service to adventuresome diners. People come to Trapper’s from all over just to experience our Rok Cooking phenomenon. Although steaks can be ordered fully cooked in the kitchen, most of our customers prefer cooking themselves at the table. We’ve been able to reduce costs in the kitchen while offering fully-prepared, delicious and entertaining meals with “sizzle.“Rok is a hot concept that is here to stay.“

Flinchy’s offers a new, energetic bar and upscale casual dining experience in Camp Hill, PA. The décor is designed to replicate and imitate some of the memorable dining experiences that the Flinchbaugh family has enjoyed in their extensive travels around the globe. The most popular of these is the hot rock; cooking filets, steaks, lobster, and more on a highly heated volcanic stone at your table.
“My wife and I experienced hot rock cooking in Europe several years ago and absolutely loved it. Our kitchen at Flinchy’s was so small I didn’t think we had room for hot rock but my wife kept telling me we needed to find a way to make it work. She finally convinced me and surprisingly it took only a few minor adjustments in the kitchen to make a small space adequate for the Rok system. I’m glad I listened because since introducing Rok, we’ve won back-to-back awards for ‘Best Suburban Restaurant,” our sales have increased 40% and we’ve become quite profitable. Most importantly, our customers are raving about Rok and many come back again and again to dine on the rock. And I have to say that the service we’ve received from Rok has been superb. They have been extremely responsive to all of our requests.” (Dawson Flinchbaugh, Owner)

The idea of combining a restaurant with an art gallery may not be new, but it is new for St. George. This is one of the reasons Anasazi Steakhouse and Gallery is so appealing—a feast for the stomach and the eyes. The menu focuses on fondue and meat that can be cooked by the chefs or brought to your table on a heated lava stone where you can finish the cooking process to your exact specifications.
“About a year after we opened as a fondue restaurant, we found our customers weren’t too crazy about the entree fondues although they loved the cheese and chocolate fondues. We saw a show on TV about rock cooking and decided this was the perfect substitute for our entree fondues. Since introducing Rok, it has been the perfect combination with the fondue and our customers love it. We have since re-opened as a steakhouse and our Rok entrees are the most popular entree choice.“ J Lanoue

“We were completely renovating Michele’s and developing an entirely new menu and wanted something truly unique and exciting to offer our guests. One demonstration of rock cooking and my GM and I were totally sold! Our guests absolutely love it. Rok allows us to offer an extraordinary dining experience for social and romantic dining.” (Tara Kazimir – Executive Chef)

Twin Dragon owner Michael Lee challenged General Manager Mike Brittain to find something unique and innovative for his new sports bar. Mike had been to Australia several years before and had eaten on a hot rock and totally loved the experience. “Selling the idea to Michael was easy - it was one of those “no-brainers,“ commented Mike. “We felt that it was the perfect match for a sports bar and our sports fan clientele.and we were absolutely right. Our customers have universally commented:
‘We are definitely coming back!‘
‘We absolutely loved it!‘
‘That was the best damn steak I’ve ever had!‘
‘I can’t wait to bring my family back.‘“
“I have to say that working with Rok has been a breeze. Everything from the financing, to the delivery to the installation went extremely smooth. And the system is much simpler to operate and maintain than we anticipated. Our waitresses have to walk a long way to the tables and they handle the Rok meals with ease. I am positively converted to the hot rock experience. Thank you Rok for providing such a successful and profitable product for our restaurant!“
